These maps are from the Union County Historical Foundation's Land Grant Maps, which cover parts of Chester, Fairfield, Greenville, Laurens, Newberry, Spartanburg and Union Counties in South Carolina. All the maps are indexed for easy location of ancestral lands. They were originally published in 1976 and again in 1995, listing this address in the latter printing.

This address was listed more recently on a Union County Genealogy web site.

These graphics files are large for detail, so they may take some time to load. Notations of Stephen Shell's grants can be found in the top right area of the first map below and in the top left of the second, although the actual boundaries of this grant are somewhat difficult to discern. The location of the Tranquil Church is clearly indicated on the first map.
