Luther and Berthenia were married at "the fork in the road" next to the church in Lennox, Arkansas. They were married by Elmer Kirksey. The marriage was witnessed by Madmoise lle Finley and Will Woodall. The honeymoon was spent at her sisters house over the weekend in Lennox, Arkansas.
