Notes for Delilah Duke
She ran away at age 18 and married Aaron Hickman. He was 40 years old.

It is known that she was the daughter of Stephen Duke and we believe her mother was Sarah Webb. She died on the morning of February 9, 1880 at her home in Upson County, Georgia. She was a member of Baptist churches for 48 years. She was on the rolls of Good Hope Primitive Baptist Church and Fellowship Baptist. She was the mother of thirteen children and had seen them all but one, who died in infancy, grow to mature manhood and womanhood and settled in life.
