Notes for Seth Mercer
There are no tombstones at Seth and Amy Mercer's graves and I doubt seriously if their graves could be found as my mother said they were buried in a field near their home and I don't know the exact place they lived.
Seth and Amy were evidently in North Carolina in 1803 because their son Noah was born there, and in South Carolina in 1806 when William was born. Seth is in the Census of 1830, Darlington, S.C., so he could not have come to Butler County (Alabama) before 1830.
