Notes for Elizabeth Lemmon Wright
King's Creek (A. R. P.) Church Cemetery - located about 12 miles North of Newberry Court House - about 100 yards to the right of old Whitmire Highway. Record reads: Sacred to the memory of Elizabeth L. Dugan, Wife of William Dugan who departed this life March 13th, 1856, aged 69 years and 1 month. "The languished head is at rest, It's thinking and aching are o'er, This quiet immovable breast Is heaved by affliction no more. This heart is not longer the seat Of trouble, and torturing pain, It ceases to flutter and beat -- It never shall flutter again."
George Leland Summer, Sr.. Newberry County, South Carolina Historical and Genealogical Annals. 1980, p. 435.u of land.
