Notes for Drury Jones Shell

A minor at the time of his father's death, he was made a ward of his brother Isham M. Shell in Newberry County South Carolina, 1818. He drew land in the lottery of 1827 as a resident of Henry County, Georgia and is listed as "Captain" in Georgia Military Records of Henry County, 1825. He married about 1827 and was living in Gwinett County, Georgia in 1840.
