Notes for John Ellis Shell

John Ellis Shell was a soldier in the American Revolution. He married Elizabeth Malone of Mecklenburg County, Virginia June 7, 1786. They came to South Carolina and lived on Indian Creek, Newberry District around 1797. He died about 1818 and his will was recorded in Newberry District. Elizabeth came to Henry County, Georgia, with children, drew land in the Georgia land lotteries of 1827 and 1838 as a widow of a Revolutionary soldier, and died about 1847. Her will was recorded in Newton County, Georgia.
