Notes for James Titus Shell
My Grandfather drove a school bus for McKenzie High School and farmed tobacco, corn, and cotton. He was a pleasant very friendly man. He married sisters, Cora first, who died in child birth. Then he married my grandmother Lula Alma Page. They had one daughter, Mylan Page Shell. As far as I know my mother is the only child. My Grandfather was called by most of the family Uncle Jim.
My mother, grandfather, and I visited the Shell family cousins the Sunday before he died during the night in his sleep. All he talked about on the way home was how he enjoyed the visit. I got the impression that there was some past disagreement that had been settled that day from the way the conversation went between my mother and grandfather. What, I don't know, because things like that were not discussed around children.
