Obituary for Elizabeth Shell Stallings.

Stallings, Elizabeth Shell, 93, a resident of Montgomery, died October 24. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 26 at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Karl Stegall and Rev. Torrence Maxey officiating. Family graveside services will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before the service at the Church in the Friendship Room.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rush Stallings and is survived by her two sons, Dan Stallings (Fran) and John Stallings (Joy) and her daughter, Nancy Elliott (Larry). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Patti Stallings McGahee, Rush Stallings III (Shan), Lynn Stallings, Johnny Stallings (Angie), Larry Elliott, Jr. (Abby), Elizabeth Elliott and Rush Elliott and eight great-grandchildren. Other survivors include her sister, Julia Whitsett of Huntsville and her brother Tom Shell (Kay) of Mobile.

She was born in Georgiana, Alabama, and has lived in Montgomery for more than seventy years. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church and dedicated her life to serving the Lord, her husband and family.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Rush Stallings, Johnny Stallings, Larry Elliott and Rush Elliott and her nephews, Dan Whitsett and Tommy Shell. Honorary Pallbearer will be Dr. Thomas E. Boozer.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Building Fund or to a charity of your choice.
