Notes for Wilson Glasgow
On the 12th of July 1816 Wilson Glasgow bought what reads to be one Deer Skin from the estate sale of William Renwick (1779-1816). He paid one dollar for it.

From the records of Robert Glasgow of Adamsville, Alabama, who researched this Glasgow family line until his death in 1993:
Census records for 1880 given by a grandson, John Fletcher Glasgow, of Warrior, Alabama, show Wilson was born in Ireland. Documentary proof has not been obtained of any of these allegations,
although the monument at his grave in Gilder's Creek Cemetery, near Newberry, South Carolina, is
engraved to the effect he died September 11, 1817, at the age of 45 years. Records in the equity division of the circuit court for Newberry County reveal Wilson was joined as one of the plaintiffs in the action instituted in 1817 for an accounting by his brother, Robert, for monies secured from the estate of Archibald Wilson, brother of his grandmother Rachel Wilson Glasgow of Ballykeel, Kilwaughter Parish, County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
It appears Wilson was not as affluent as were some of his older brothers, and his early death no doubt influenced his mother, Mary (widow of James, the imigrant), to devise certain lands to his widow, Mary, and their children in the will she executed in 1822 shortly before her death. Undoubtedly the disturbed state of the country during and immediately after the Revolution greatly affected all these folk.
