Ada was a remarkable lady. She lost her eyesight later in life, but that didn't deter Ada from her household duties.

Ada lived about a mile from her brother Kemper Glasgow, Sr. Whenever Kemp's wife, Lela, would birth a child, he would bring all the other children for Ada to tend.
