Notes for Mary Ann Halso

Mary Ann Halso Driver, (Aunt Polly) married a Mr. Driver at age 40, went to Texas and lived until his death and, at his request, came back to Butler County, Alabama to live with her people. She lived in the home of the Hickman children until they were all married, then went to live in the home of her brother John W. Halso until his death in 1918. She spent the last two years of her life in the home of her neice, Mrs. Delilah (Halso) Shell, passing away at age 96. She is buried in Sardis Cemetery below the Hickman plot.
