They had 4 children and lived in the Clear Springs community. Ella died at the birth of their fourth child, Earnie, who was reared from age two days by his uncle and aunt James L.R. and Celestia Ann Meador Thomason. Gideon Thomason was killed when a horse kicked him in the head. His other t hree children were reared by various family members.
